Our Favourite Places: The Sheffield Round Walk

£10.00

Our Favourite Places: The Sheffield Round Walk is our guidebook to this 15-mile loop of the southwest of the city. Starting and ending at Hunter’s Bar roundabout, the Sheffield Round Walk is an urban walk, though at times you’d barely know it. Its paths are rich in nature and history. They take in pretty parks, ancient woodlands, trickling streams and panoramic views, as well as industrial remains and the sights and sounds of bustling suburbs.

Four sections make up the walk, each with their own personality. The family-friendly Porter Valley is the first, followed by the wilder Limb Valley and tree-heavy scenery of the Sheaf Valley, with the more suburban Gleadless Valley to finish.

Through 112 pages our book follows the direction of the walk's distinctive acorn waymarker, pointing out cafes, pubs, independent shops, heritage sites and worthy detours along the way.
